Recently I had a joy and excitement of welcoming a beautiful baby boy into the world, but faced with an unexpected and devastating setback.
Due to a building demolition project, my retail store was forced to close its doors, leaving me without substantial source of income for over seven challenging months, being pregnant. ( see picture attached of me with a belly in empty store) I was able to set up some online sales and even continued to provide job opportunity at home to my core few employees, however I was not paying to my self. I became overextended, and my financial situation took a deep dive. The burden of personal and business expenses, combined with necessities for my baby, put me in a dire financial predicament. My credit plummeted, making it impossible to secure any loans to keep my business afloat and replenish bestsellers and establish new brick and mortar location.
I adapted to the new role of motherhood and learned to navigate the challenges of being a new mom and even continue breastfeed while staying determined to revive my business and finances.
