I am a minority woman (African American 57 years old) who has been in the trucking industry for nearly 30 years. I’ve done a number of jobs on the clerical side for larger companies over the years. The job I’ve done that I’ve really enjoyed the most is dispatching for independent contractors. This is why I am seeking funds to start my own dispatch company to serve a few of the truck drivers I’ve met along the way. What I will do with the money received is get my LLC or S Corp, secure a domain name, open business bank account, get separate cellular phone, desktop computer with at least two monitors, printer, dispatch software, & bookkeeping software (or combo of these two), get help with website design, marketing budget. Estimate for this 4-7K depending on software package and brand of computer, I prefer Apple computers and iPhones. I would really like to work for myself so any help is greatly appreciated. Would love to start my new venture ASAP.
