So not sure how to explain, but here it goes.
Raised in a middle-class home nothing too bad or good to speak of and then graduated high school and jumped right into life. Spent the first 6 years fully enjoying life snowboarding and kayaking, living in Colorado, Idaho, Montana and then British Columbia working in construction trade jobs to get by fully enjoying life to the fullest.
Then I had planned to move to Bellingham, WA when that summer I traveled back home to California to make some extra cash before heading to Washington. It was 2005 the housing boom was in full effect which I fell right into the middle of. Which I took full advantage of shortly thereafter obtaining my contractor’s license and starting my own construction and development company. Which very quickly became very successful at its highest point was valued at over 10 million dollars (assessed by an offer to buy the company from another builder which I quickly denied).
On a personal level, I had gotten married had kids bought a house and was living the “American dream”. Until 2008 when I lost absolutely everything. Just before the crash I had just purchased 150 undeveloped sfh lots anticipating continued growth in homebuilding. Shortly after the markets crashed and everything being leveraged came to call and I lost my business, quickly after lost my home, my wife, and kids.
I was left all alone left with nothing and made even worse decisions turning to alcohol to forget the pain. To which was a blur of the next few years until September 17, 2013, when that fateful day I made the worst decision of my life and was involved in a car wreck while intoxicated worse off included 5 other vehicles and my two boys in the vehicle with me at the time. No one was injured nonetheless being as I had a BAC of.10 I was arrested and charged with triple felony DUI and was taken to the county jail and was placed in maximum security for almost a month followed by a 2-year court case and finally a curse that has followed me until this very day, making it almost impossible to find employment or do almost anything that does a background check or ask mine about my past.
I have been clean and sober since that fateful day and have chaired AA meetings helping others find their own sobriety along the way.
But still, I can barely see my own children and still have yet to be able to find long-term employment and so I am here asking for any help possible. I have the experience the knowledge and ability to successfully rebuild my construction and development business. I just need financial help to do so. So that’s why I am here asking for all help that anyone can provide. I am more than happy to repay any investment into myself with interest upon profitability.
