Hello my name is Acelda Bevans and I am the owner of Sal’s Gumbo Shack a restaurant specializing in creole and southern cuisine in Long Beach, Calif. I am 54 years old with 2 grandchildren. I am working deligently to keep our doors open, the recession has us making what we made in the beginning, which was 2012. I quit my job 11 years ago to become my own boss and to be able to spend quality time with my grandkids now i am working more than i ever have. With no experience I lasted 11 years, now i am fearful of losing my business, because times are getting rough and i will be forced to make a decision. I have overcome many obstacles, from childhood trauma to losing 3 mates in my life, the last being my husband who died of alcohol poisoning at the age of 51 in 2019. Still i stand! I’m humbly asking for help, which is very hard for me. after seeing this on Youtube, the spirit led to humbly ask.
