Green Bridge Music Academy is a personal dream of mine that I sketched out in my early years, and although hitting a couple bumps in the road, still held on to my faith believing that it will one day come true. That time has arrived.
We are living in a time where having variety of music opportunities for young children are diminishing. Our objective and desire at GBMA is to offer all children ages 5- 12, those from wealthy families to the less fortunate, even those dealing with poverty conditions, an opportunity to experience one of the greatest most exciting languages ever: MUSIC.
As a full time Musician and director of music at 2 churches in my hometown of Rochester N.Y, I’m constantly asked, how, when and where did you learn how to play and sing? I’ve decided to take all that I have learned and experienced, and made a curriculum and exciting program for kids to enjoy.
On June 16, 2018, We plan to officially offer this opportunity and opening our doors to all of those children on the waiting list, as well as throughout the community. Although GBMA are fee based, we do not want to turn any deserving children away due to their financial statues. GBMA is offering the GBMA Sponsorship program to those who maybe in need. That is where the generosity of people like you play a major part.
Green Bridge Music Academy has a ultimate fundraising goal of $50,000. With your help, we will be able to afford children with not just an opportunity to learn to play and sing music, but attend extended summer events and learning times, music events in the city ( and abroad) and give them a showcases of their own. We also have a need for much more musical and office equipment, instruments, computers, tablets (new or used for Basic Music Recording) and materials. If I had as much money as I do passion, I would fund all of this myself. Since I don’t have all of the funds that I need, Im humbly reaching out to you. Thank you for considering our request. If you have any questions or need further information, please feel free to contact me.
