The child provider industry is one that is always in high-demand, since people will always be procreating, and will always need someone to care for their children. We will be providing that service to our clientele, in a small, intimate setting that is appealing to parents who have to be separated from their children. No parent wants to think of his/her child being just one of the many in a crowd of children, none of whom gets the attention he/she deserves from the childcare provider.
We can compete in this industry because we will offer something slightly different than the current norm. We will operate in a small, classroom based atmosphere, with approximately 15 rooms being utilized for daycare needs. The other three rooms will be utilized for a music class, a summer enrichment Spanish class during the months of July and August, and one indoor exercise room. There will be two building spaces with counters used for art activities. We will have up to 14 employees working on any given day, including two floaters.
The owner was in the daycare industry for seven years and in the elementary education field for two years, and we will only be hiring providers with an education/caregiving background. The curriculum will be educational based to prepare each child for their journey transitioning to kindergarten. Parents who leave their children with us will know that the children are getting exceptional care in a stimulating environment. Though being separated from one’s children is always difficult, parents will know that at DAPS Learning Center, their children are as close to home as they can get without actually being there and are learning on a daily basis.
DAPS Learning Center is attempting to raise $50,000 for renovations to the building, furniture, arts and crafts, and toys.
