Hi,
This is Nicco. I am in my 2nd year farming veggies in Maine, and I am struggling to make ends meet. Life seemed more manageable before I moved back to New England a few years back from CA, however I was not pursuing my dream. I am now doing what I want to be doing as far as work goes, which is something I’m proud of. I don’t want to give up and go back to landscaping for people, as I’ve gone this far putting in so much of my time and energy into this new farm business. There is a shortage of healthy, organic foods in this area as there are in many rural places, so that’s another aspect that is keeping me hanging onto this. I am obviously looking into ALL options out there to help me get this going to the point where I can both pay my bills, have the ability to expand and actually save a little $ that I do make all said and done.
I want to be as up front, honest and open as I possibly can, so if there is anymore info I can provide I am more than happy doing so. My farm is called Woodlot Farm located in Robbinston, ME and can get an idea of what I currently grow and sell, and what I want to grow more of by going to:

Honestly I am new to this probably like many others writing their ‘message’ on this site, so I’m hoping this reads well. I also am very uncomfortable asking for $.
I have looked into taking out a business loan, but it is challenging proving my income collecting cash from farmers markets. A bank wouldn’t give me much, and the interest would be very high. I am at a standstill but I do see a lot of potential once I have a cushion to keep me afloat at this juncture.
Thankyou for reading,
Nicco
