Hello and thank you for viewing my Begging Money request! My dream is to own and operate my own Sporting Clays course and Country Club. If you do not know what Sporting Clays is, the best description is clay pigeon shooting, often described as “golf with a shotgun” because a typical course includes from 10 to 15 different shooting stations laid out over natural terrain. For safety, the course size is often no smaller than 35 acres. Unlike trap and skeet, which are games of repeatable target presentations, sporting clays simulates the unpredictability of live bird shooting, offering different trajectories, angles, speeds, elevations, distances, and target sizes.
I have been working for the same company, a factory, for seventeen years. I always pay my bills and taxes. I have never been bankrupt or not paid what I owe, yet, I just can’t seem to get ahead. I am not a drinker nor do I do drugs. My wife is a fitness trainer and part time pizza delivery driver. Our children are all grown and she and I both have entrepreneurial desires.
I envision a forty to fifty wooded plot with ten to twelve stations winding throughout the scenic wooded property. Some stations would be ground level and others would be in wooden towers, as is common to most Sporting Clays courses. The difference, however, I would have on site, a club house restaurant bar and grill. There would be cameras at each station and customers inside the club house could enjoy watching people go through the course on big screen TV’s. The club house would also sell shooting accessories, gear and clothing that cater to the shotgun clay pigeon sports. The course would be open to the paying public, however the club house would only be available to those who become members. Memberships would include benefits that the public does not receive.
I have set my donation request at three hundred thousand, of which I believe would be enough to get the course up and running. I would buy twenty to twenty-four trap machines made by MEC priced around six thousand each. The remainder would be for the property and club house.
I know if given the opportunity, I could build and manage a very unique and wonderful Sporting Clays course that could become one of the most desirable shotgun sports venues in the United States. The business would definitely make a profit and with that profit I would reinvest continuously, always making it better and more exciting for the customers and members. It could eventually grow to include all the shotgun sports, Trap, Skeet, 5 Stand and more!
Thank you once again for viewing my donation request and if fulfilled, rest assured your donation(s) will be used only to fulfill this dream! I would love to be in business for myself and be able to unlock my potential and creativity!
