Hello to anyone, if anyone reads this. I’m not entirely sure how to approach this and asking for some donations feels shameful. I was recently laid off from a job that actually helped me get into a comfortable position, meaning actually being able to save. Unfortunately, I was there for roughly 7/8 months so I wasn’t able to reach my goal of savings and was laid off due to COVID-19. I paid off credit cards and now I’m savings dwindled, which is fine because i didn’t want to worry about monthly payments besides my car. Now, my beloved girlfriends, who was laid off due to covid as well earlier in the year, cat is ill with the possibility of cancer or an intestinal desease. A diagnosis is difficult without surgery though. We were given an rough estimate but it’s just that, a rough estimate. So we’re not entirely sure what the amount would be. Of course, other issues arise when things seem bad. She had car issues due to shocks needing replacement, I have to get my brakes fixed, as well as the cover underneath my car that covers the engine replaced since it was ripped off due to an object on the freeway. We want to put our money together to ensure Emma aka nemas (her cat) can get her surgery done and hopefully get whatever is going on with her cured but we’ll both be back to ground zero. We don’t have enough for 6 months to keep us afloat. We live in separate states, although just a few hours apart. She’s stressing out about the possibility of her passing during surgery, which of course is understandable since it is a possibility. I would like to just try and take initiative by somehow raising funds predominantly to ensure her shmee (as she calls cats) is healthy and lives a long life after surgery. Her cat (Emma) and dog (Gunter) have been there for her more than any human has throughout the trauma she’s experienced in her life. They are more than just pets, they are almost like her children, best friends rather. Her and I have only been together for a little over two years and have always tried to provide for one another in times of need and now both of us are unable to help her best friend. I believe she’s had Emma before Gunter, although Gunter was purchased when he was a baby American pitbull terrier. He’s adorable and goofy as hell. The story of when she first saw nems (emma.) She was in a pet store and her eyes just locked onto her. Nems did the same and she felt an instant deep connection with her. Unfortunately, she came from a background where they couldn’t afford much BUT a few days later her dad caved and got nems for her and she was ecstatic. Ever since, they never really leave each others side while my girlfriend is home. As I’ve stated before, we don’t have an exact number in regards to surgery/medications/visits to the by post op. I’d imagine it would be roughly a couple Grand but I’m not entirely sure as of right now.
If anyone can please donate, we would absolutely appreciate it. Anything helps.
