My husband and I have three adorable cats. We treat them as if they were our actual children. About 10 years ago We rescued our third Kitty from our apartment complex dumpster. We named him Oscar because of Oscar the Grouch from Sesame Street. Oscar the Grouch lives in a trash can, so we thought that would be a perfect fit for our kitty Oscar! When We rescued Oscar he was just a kitten. It was obvious that he was really shy and fearful. When We rescued Oscar, we discovered that neighborhood children around our apartment complex where screaming at the kitten. One night, my husband and I decided to go down to the dumpster area in our complex and feed the kitten. We brought him a little bowl of cat food and some water. We did not see the kittn anywhere, but the next day we went down to the dumpster again and we noticed that the bowl of cat food and water were gone, so we knew the kitten had to be around somewhere. Eventually, we were able to get the kitten to come to us. And we brought him into our apartment and into our hearts forever.
Oscar is well-fed. Meaning, since his rescue he never misses a meal and is very plump! His favorite thing is to sleep and eat. He does love the occasional belly rubbing, and the attention from his parents. He is still pretty anxious around other humans, but we always reassuring him that we are not going to let anybody take him away from us.
Recently, my husband and I noticed that Oscar is not acting usual. He is not eating or drinking very often. He is not moving as much either. We figured that this could be probably due to his weight. He is also really depressed as of late. We would like to get him checked out at the veterinarian as soon as possible. Unfortunately, my husband and I do not have the funds required in order for vet visits regularly. Sometimes, I regret having pets, because they deserve the most and best care they can get. I Feel like a bad pet mother because I cannot afford to take my fur babies to the doctor when they are sick. :-(
My husband and I are asking for whatever you are able to donate to us so that we may take Oscar to the vet as soon as possible so that he can feel better again. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read and care about our boy Oscar. 💜
